That's interesting, I will give it a listen when I have a moment. Genuinely tough, hard people often don't strike you as all that intimidating at first sight until you mess with them. Marciano used to basically just keep on going until the other guy went down, Joe Frazier was the same, and they weren't all that big physically. Foreman looked like the most unbeatable badass on the planet until Ali found a way to beat him. I think there's a sort of mongrel fighting strain in some people that just makes them much harder to beat than other people, it doesn't really matter that they aren't 6'5'' and 300 pounds of muscle.
I don't think you will find it a waste of time, even if you disagree with the thesis.
BTW - any updates on Jackson's remake of
The Dam Buster's? That's been like a twenty year saga at this point. Usually, if the original movie is good, I am not a fan of remakes. Best, just to leave it alone. However, Hugh Laurie would make a fine Barnes Wallis and modern special effects could make it worth a watch.
