My Canadian roommate was named Arvin, although he preferred being called something else.  So Arvin it is, but what the hell kind of name was that?

Arvin! That's an odd one.  I have an employee named Arden but that sounds better than Arvin. I think the D and the E in Arden can beat up the R and the I in Arvin so it sounds less nerdy.

For the record, I hope you guys kept Arvin down there.

In college I shared an apt with a guy from Canada.  It snowed and froze over and that morning he's all excited and tells me ''call Doug and tell him to bring his skates and stick''.

''Um, I don't have skates or a stick, and neither does Doug, we have mitts and footballs...''  He was shocked, I can still see the look on his face.  Looking back, we should have - we had the weather for it.

In my youth I could play goalie. Those days are long gone.  All I'm capable now is a stay at home defenseman.  Think of a skill set in the likes of Ken Daneyko or Bob Boughner.

I shoot lefty but can play on either side.  Not good at puck handling on the fly but quick with an accurate outlet pass.

@FISH   Ugh.  Thanks for bringing back that memory.    The lifeless Pens lose game 7 at home as future Penguin Ken Wregget is a stud in goal during that game.  Heckuva series.  Hats off to the Flyers.  I do take solace in that we swept the Rangers.  I dislike them more than the Flyers.

Oooo...that's a tough one. @FISH  I think I'd start with Mario's first home game.  October 17, 1984: Penguins 4, Canucks 3

Mario had his first fight during that game. LOL.  Plus the Canucks were wearing those sweet unis.

Then, I guess I'd go with some games involving the Nordiques or the Whalers.  I dunno.  Depends on my mood.  Not all would involve the Pens though.  I have a slight fascination with the first group of Russian players (Makarov, et al) so I'd like to see some of their debuts.
