While such lingo might sound odd to casual listeners, it is not uncommon for military crews to rely on innocuous-sounding terminology to mask the nature of an operation, particularly during sensitive or real operations, as well as exercises.

Hi, K. I'm halfway there so I'll report to the thread, and since I'm not 100% Italian, I had to look it up. It appears that raviolis come in different shapes. Square of course, circular, triangular and even crescent moon shaped. My dear Uncle Joe now, he was a full blooded Italian. In fact, he was a chef in Spokane, Washington and his specialty was raviolis, manufactured right there at the restaurant. Sadly, I never got to sample his handiwork, but I did get to speak with a couple of waitresses who had traveled several hundred miles to attend his funeral. They told me how much they loved working with him and that the customers raved about his raviolis. Apparently, the customers would line up ahead of time and wait for the restaurant to open. Uncle Joe was something else and I wish that I had talked to him more often.

A misshapen ravioli would imply that it is not square. Yes, raviolis in the west are indeed square. Even Chef Boyardee ravs are square. Sometimes I'll buy a can after giving it a vigorous shake to determine whether or not it is watery. The key is to find a can that has absolutely no give. Nothing. This tells you that the sauce is thick and that the can is packed full of yummy garbage food that we all enjoyed when we were se7en. Mmmm


No, I am not Italian. According to 23 and ME!!!! I am 93% Irish.  The other 7 percent is Chocolate Chip Cookie. Cookie is also my maiden, stripper, AND wrestler name.

UFO Thread thrown way off course by tasty pasta.  Back when married we had all the best kitchen appliances, the big one of the around 2015-2018 was the KitchenAID Mixer with all the attachments one of which was the ravioli maker. It worked but the kitchen was still flooded with colorful language as we would switch over to the classic method of the countertop, just the way they were made through history.
