@KSM32   LMAO at the Frodo remark.  Hey man, I have to admit...I dig Sammy.  The Van Halen 5150 album is one of my favorites EVER!    I like some of his solo stuff and the Montrose stuff.  Don't know much about Chickenfoot or whatever the hell his band was called.

Diamond Dave was the standard for a flashy lead singer (Mick who?) BUT...  Van Hagar was like a damn fucking good band that bucked the "new lead singer" thing. Other than Fleetwood Mac, what other bands survived that big of a change after making it big without becoming an oldies act?

I see Brian is involved in a new project, considering the voice issues, that was great.  Bon Scott looked like he was a fun time though. No filters!

If you fuckers wanna open a Van Halen Roth vs Hager thread, do it. I'll participate. They were two different bands/animals entirely but the band with Roth was a considerably Better Animal. Ff' it wasn't for Roth, Sammy would not have had a viable gig after his Dokken fame bands.  Nothing against the Dokken's.
