I guess this is the place to put reviews of Now and Then.  I just heard it on an AM mono radio - the way I would have first heard most Beatles stuff.  It was amazing technically.   As a song., its a decent late whiny Lennon song.  I wish the last Beatles song could have been a rocker with Lennon playing rhythm.  Those were the ones I really liked.  But that said, the melody to Now and Then is stuck in my head.

They should go back and fix Free As a Bird and Real Love with this new technology.... also de-Jeff Lynne them too.

This is what they had to work with...

That is amazing.
Hearing it here in stereo on my monitors, it's even better - for a whiny Lennon song.

I guess this and the new Stones album are the last gasp for the Silent Generation - though the Stones are threatening one more.

Oddly, I could hear Paul singing and I kept waiting for John to join in, but he never did.

I know why they didn't keep this... but I like this version

The story goes that Olivia Harrison had pulled this "unique" clock (below) out and put it on a mantle a couple of years ago. George bought it while visiting his son, Dhani, at Brown University.

25 years later,  Olivia finds it and puts it out.   Paul calls asking her permission to finish off Now And Then. She said  George would approve. She answered the call facing the clock. If the story is true,  it's a sign.  If not true,  then  a great story.

This would have been a much better cover than the Photoshop thing they used.

Thank you for this gem! Although the kid, Jimmy, was overselling it, I enjoyed it. Holy fuck, he later wrote "Delta Dawn."

Believe it or not, the singer in this video (Bill Champlin) is the exact same person that I once saw perform at a college auditorium back in 1968.  The crazy thing is that his voice sounds just the same here as it did way back then.  This particular song is 18 years old but there are more recent recordings on YouTube and his voice sounds just the same.  Amazing.
