I think that posting music vids that others might enjoy listening to is primarily the purpose of this thread, as it was in the old one.   Comments are nice though, and a note here and there about interesting aspects of the music are fun.  I don't know how much discussion Dyna had in mind when she started the thread but I'm sure that we don't want to overly analyze music in general.  We might get into some fights and we certainly don't want to turn this into another politics thread.  The reason I say this is probably because I happen to like (gasp) rap music.

I basically just was thinking that it would be a continuation of the Bellgab thread. If there are favorites you posted there, by all means bring them here. It was a gold mine of some of the greatest music of all time. If you want to add discussion or a memory to a post that's even better. Other tidbits such as I heard it as a bumper on so-and-so's show and liked it or when I was growing up in such-and-such city - this was a local hit in (year) can give context (as if you were DJ'ing it and giving it a liner note). Most that have been posted here are great enough that they speak for themselves  ;)

In 1975 and 76 I lived in the barracks at Plattsburgh AFB. You would hear all types of music blaring off anything from cheap steroes to expensive rack mounted systems. The guys that had been stationed in the far east had some killer rigs. I had a cheap Panasonic system with “quadraphonic sound”. Usually the sounds were epic. Unless the guys across the hall had his ham rig broadcasting. He ran a MARS station and woukd patch through “calls” from Europe to friends and family in the US. I guess MARS was a little like  an operator assisted Skype before there was an internet.

I was probably the only one with this album.

I cannot put my finger on what the melody is here, I swear I have heard it before, I think this is a cover or a mashup.  Whatever it is, it is now my new theme song... (I think the title is actually Tru-Galu)

They remind me of another local favorite of mine the Malachy Papers, I don't think they are a thing anymore... sort of a project band, I have one of their CDs somewhere.  I used to run in the same circle sort of as the dude playing bass.  I did sound for them at somebody's wedding back when I had my bitchin sound system, good thymes...

Here's 1 of 6 videos of them playing a show somewhere, groovy stuff:

I have to say the Boogaloo 7 wins, although they do have more people (I think Malachy Papers were a trio, or perhaps quartet.)

Enjoy.
Snoopy? Sorta same? Always hear as "Snoopy" not "Sloopy?"

I like Roy Orbison but I don’t think I would pay $100 to see a hologram concert. Maybe $20. I equate it to entertainment like going to an IMAX.
