Former Russian skaters and current US coaches being reported by Russian media as victims.

Elevation history of the helicopter indicates they were at safe elevations and dropped only to raise elevation again...

This is way beyond an accident.

Watch the helicopter pilot's history be related to a BlackRock commercial.

This was a while back but things are definitely getting weird out there.  Dude tried to bail out of an emergency exit in Boston.

Trump addressed DEI policies regarding air traffic control. Is this controller a DEI hire? Was the training program or selection process for this controller under a lower standard because of DEI?

Perhaps but my question is the tower was talking to both the American Airlines jet AND the Army helicopter.
WHY didn't they tell the helicopter that they were in danger of a collision and to turn immediately ?

That said the Army pilot's helicopter was 10x more maneuverable than the plane on approach coming in for a landing.
They saw their lights and should have made a turn away from the plane.

I read an account where the helicopter pilot actually acknowledged seeing the airliner, but as it turned out, it was the wrong one. The plane he spotted was taking off from a runway and wasn't a danger to anybody.  As a matter of fact, and I haven't seen any news agency point this out yet, you can actually see the plane shortly after it took off, in one of the crash videos. It was pulling up and beginning to make a turn, right when the other two aircraft collided.

We shall see what the investigation turns up but I think the controller is probably in the clear in this case.  That being said there does seem to be a systemic ATC issue nationwide.  There have been numerous near misses in recent years due to controllers making mistakes. Youtube is full of such clips. It is probably difficult to see the lights on a plane at night, that close to the ground with all the other lights on the ground as a backdrop.  Not sure if the Blackhawk pilot was wearing night vision on his/her helmet and not sure if that makes it easier or harder.

There are reports that the airport tower had been understaffed for years, and that the controller last night was doing the work of two.  Those reports say the BribeMe administration slowed hiring because they weren't getting enough DIE applicants.
Stand by.

If the NTSB made reference to a military aircraft having a black box, this is a little concerning. There are a few people in the House claiming to have wanted the military to put black boxes in its aircraft and the military has refused. So I don't know about this black box thing that the NTSB is claiming. I think it's understandable why the military wouldn't want them. Who would want that data available to an enemy who has shot down their aircraft? On the other hand, knowing if something was going wrong inside that helicopter could have been very helpful.

Apparently, there are a lot of complaints about highly qualified former military personnel being rejected as air traffic controllers because of the color of their skin and gender. There is also a great deal of documentation regarding Democrat policies of wanting to allow people with known mental conditions, physical limitations and checking certain racial and gender check boxes to have hiring preference.

There is also been a lot said about the air traffic controller not being specific and not giving a direction of the approaching airliner, which is supposedly commonplace at an airport.

Personally, I knew somebody very high in management at the FAA. I wrote speeches for her back in the day when she was really good friends with Elizabeth Dole and Chuck Grassley (late '80s, early '90s). She was a woman of color and definitely benefited greatly, but she still put in a lot of time before she started getting those big promotions. he was also a kick-ass, bossy-panted taskmaster who would be very demanding at work, I hear. She was quite the opposite outside of work, that I did know about... She ended running Tracons in a few cities.
