If the NTSB made reference to a military aircraft having a black box, this is a little concerning. There are a few people in the House claiming to have wanted the military to put black boxes in its aircraft and the military has refused. So I don't know about this black box thing that the NTSB is claiming. I think it's understandable why the military wouldn't want them. Who would want that data available to an enemy who has shot down their aircraft? On the other hand, knowing if something was going wrong inside that helicopter could have been very helpful.
Apparently, there are a lot of complaints about highly qualified former military personnel being rejected as air traffic controllers because of the color of their skin and gender. There is also a great deal of documentation regarding Democrat policies of wanting to allow people with known mental conditions, physical limitations and checking certain racial and gender check boxes to have hiring preference.
There is also been a lot said about the air traffic controller not being specific and not giving a direction of the approaching airliner, which is supposedly commonplace at an airport.
Personally, I knew somebody very high in management at the FAA. I wrote speeches for her back in the day when she was really good friends with Elizabeth Dole and Chuck Grassley (late '80s, early '90s). She was a woman of color and definitely benefited greatly, but she still put in a lot of time before she started getting those big promotions. he was also a kick-ass, bossy-panted taskmaster who would be very demanding at work, I hear. She was quite the opposite outside of work, that I did know about... She ended running Tracons in a few cities.
