My wife works in a school that is considered impoverished.  Every year she has an ice cream and popcorn party for the kids.  She said it never ceases to amaze her how many kids think popcorn only comes from the microwave.  She said they are completely fascinated to watch popcorn pop in the Stir-Crazy.
