My favorite streaming show of the last couple of years is WandaVision on Disney Plus, I am not even a big Marvel follower, but I am a fan of classic TV and the concept of her going decade by decade going into different TV sitcom eras was a lot of fun, especially the first half of the series where they didn't have much "Cap stuff". Not sure if I had a chance to mention it yet but I liked it a lot and it's only one season.

When I saw it, I felt that the writers tried to do something interesting for the first few episodes, and then they got a knock on the door from the Marvel execs who told them they had to dumb it down and make it like all the other stuff they do.

Has anyone been watching 'Only Murders in the Building'? I just finished the first season and I'm not sure whether the second season is worth bothering with or not. The murderer was ridiculously obvious as soon as they showed up, and there was a pointless sub-plot that was only there to flesh out the narrative. It was good to see Steve Martin and Martin Short but the whole thing felt a bit half-arsed to me. And what the hell's going on with Selena Gomez's voice is baffling, she sounds like a 60 year old woman.

Don't have Hulu. Too many of these damn services out there. Still haven't seen their Catch-22 rendition.   :'(

I tried. I don't know if I made it through two complete episodes or maybe a third. Very flat. The writing was very "autopilot" with typical characters in New York filler. As for Selena Gomez's voice, she probably got AIDS, hepatitis or something from her ex-boyfriend, that Justin Bieber punk.

Eh, nevermind...

Neither do I, I just got a torrent off Pirate Bay. If you never see it I can't say that you will be missing out on anything amazing. I'd forgotten all about that Catch-22 thing. It wasn't that well-received so I didn't bother getting round to it.

Yes, I agree with you about the 'autopilot'. I found myself watching to the end of the season because the episodes were only half an hour, if they were an hour long I would probably have stopped watching some time before then.

There was another show I watched early this year called 'Severance' and although I watched the whole season I still couldn't decide whether I liked it or not. You feel intrigued and keep on watching, even though deep down you feel that the writers don't have a clue what they are doing, and although it seems like it is heading in an interesting direction, it probably isn't.

Severance is one that tempts me but my fears are exactly what you seem to be suspicious of. Might be a long way to go to get not very far at all..

WAN, HULU and all those streaming sites are crap. Shiny turds.

It's a nice idea (a person has had an operation so that he has no memory of what he does at work) but after shows like Lost and Game of Thrones I think we are all a bit wary of things that look too good to be true. There was one part where two people are wandering around a corridor and open a door where there is a man surrounded by baby goats and he says 'they're not ready yet!'. To me that's just an obvious attempt to intrigue people but there is probably no real pay off.

On November 30, 2022, Paramount+ renewed the Tulsa King series for a second season.[19] In February 2023, Winter was announced to have stepped down as showrunner, due to creative differences, with search underway for a new showrunner.[20] At this time it was also reported that the second season would not film in Oklahoma due to financial costs and complaints from the cast and crew who did not like the extreme Oklahoma temperatures.[21] (Wiki)

Tulsa IS extreme in the temperature Dept. !! :D

I don't have P+, but I did enjoy watching this Movies Outpost recap on YouTube !!!

Purchased a few seasons of THE OFFICE (US)
I can't get into it. Heard all these great things, but Steve Carrel is just nauseating IMO. Overacting. Cannot a fucking director realize that the content is strong enough without things going into animated and unrealistic character mode? It tries too hard.

That said, I'm only two episodes into season 1. Not sure I'll see episode..............4.  Tell me that there is some character refinement as the seasons roll on.

I agree that his character had no redeeming qualities. To be honest, there were more dogs in the first 2 years or 3 years. Maybe do one of us Google searches and find out the best episodes from the seasons you have and just pick through them.

Something to keep in mind, characters like Creed developed without a plan. He was an extra who decided to talk one day, at least that's the story they said.

Isn't the idea of the show built around David Brent / Michael Scott doing exactly what you are complaining about?
Boss guy in a documentary about working in an office overplaying to the camera?
