Is becoming deathly afraid of heights in one's 50s an evolutionary thing?

I used to climb steep roofs going from the second floor to the third floor roof, no problem. Now I get a sick feeling seeing a YouTube video about those platforms with glass floors that go over canyons.

Over 50 and yes, no more crazy amusement park rides...ever...again.

Does Jon Stewart one time late night mainstay still have fans out there in the hinterland? Jeff Bridges and crew do a great job in assessing the situation.

Only in a clownworld is there a demand for more JON.

Didn't watch the vid, but it was reported on The Daily Wire that he was stepping in a few days a week.  ::)

Root Beer = Crest. LoL

You are a classy dude Bart. She's dropped off my feed.  I keep pulling Big Tiddy Mary videos where she is indifferently scratching at some goat feces with a hoe.

How does Gold Belly stay in business?  Was looking at Peasant Soup from Olga's.  It is good soup. Hell, it's great soup but $75 for two smallish tubs?

I thought the $50 hamburger one place here has was expensive.

It's like a high cover charge - it keeps the riff-raff out.

I say this as a proud member of the riff-raff.

It was warm here yesterday - 70F.  Towards evening there was a brief rain and as the Sun was starting to set it cooled off rapidly. This created kind of a groovy, creepy fog. Not super dense to wipe out visibility but patchy and thick enough to set a horror movie vibe.  At the time I was driving through an old Civil War battlefield. Johnny Reb made one of his last stands as an organized fighting force there - Lee had already surrendered and it was quite a hopeless situation for them.  If one was ever going to see a ghost this was the perfect setting. Fog and ground where men fought and died for nothing really. Ghostly apparitions marching in the fog. Just close enough too see but far enough away to pretend that you didn't see them.  No such luck though. Only thing I saw was an Opossum trundling along.
