Kevin does not seem very friendly.

A farmer out in the backroads near me has emus, I ride my bike past there and stop and talk to them a little.  I stand well back from the fence.

Do you tell them that their fat will be rendered into an oil to help people with sore muscles?

Wonder if this is a precursor to the big one.

That Geyser was crazy.  Been hearing rumors with all the political turmoil lately that Steve Quayle has bugged out and gone to ground.  Maybe he was right?

Yeah, but he does that about twice a month.

That is hard to say.  Geysers are the product of the interaction between a thermal heat source (shallow magma) and highly mineralized groundwater, so extra rainfall can add water, a buildup of mineral deposits can pinch off a channel forcing a burst-pipe type situation, or increased heat can cause explosiveness.  Highly unlikely that a large magma body could intrude in Yellowstone without setting off all kinds of sensors but Yellowstone is a strange beast geologically.

When whales attack

This is spectacular!  It just came up in my feed with the explanation that the boats were out there fishing for pogies off Portsmouth NH which form dense schools that the whales, who are eating the same thing, can't see through so they just launch at them with their mouths open

Not Afraid of Sharks? Well, Now They’re on Cocaine

In a study published last week, researchers tested 13 sharks off the coast of Rio de Janeiro and found that all had cocaine in their liver and muscle tissues. The levels of cocaine found in these sharks were reported to be as much as 100 times higher than in previously observed marine life.

Dr. Hauser Davis said there were several hypotheses as to how cocaine found its way to the marine creatures, including illegal labs refining cocaine or cocaine packages lost or dumped by traffickers. But she believes these account for only a small amount of the drug found in the ocean.

“We feel that the major source would be excretion through urine and feces from people using cocaine,” she said. Most wastewater treatment plants worldwide cannot effectively filter these substances, leading to their release into the ocean.   --- NYTimes

The best fucking Band-Aid isn't a Band-Aid. I used to use super glue (directly on the wounds) because Band-Aids would come off in the middle of a gig. These, well these last forever and have to be removed in order to give the wound exposure to free-flowing air. Plus, when you wash your hands, they drain off quickly and are not affected by the water.

I've just received word that Heather was admitted to the hospital for unknown reasons. I don't know what hospital nor her current status, perhaps someone could elaborate as we are all concerned for her well being.

Any further word?

BTW bellgab.com has been suspended. Coincidence?
