Ok, I never heard of buttermilk pie. I just googled it. I will have to read the recipes for this one. Not sure if they are the same type of pie. Thanks for giving me a new type of dessert to learn about.  The buttermilk pie and the butter cake from my location looks about the type of dessert.

Missing the food is the sad part.  Have you made plans for Thanksgiving? My family takes turns on who is the lucky one who gets to host the meal each year. This year I am a guest. However, I will bring a dish or two. Everyone loves going home with leftovers.

It's Thursday today so I'm hanging with you all japan has their own "labor thanksgiving day" tomorrow, but no plans for me.

Aww fuck Bob I’m so sorry! I once had to go one of those little shindigs myself with an ex. She didn’t tell me that until 20 minutes until before we got there after a 4 hour car ride to her grandmothers. The only thing I ate was salad and pasta salad. The tofu thing freaks me out. Needles to say I was gracious and smiled and had to say I was having tummy trouble. On the inside however, I was picturing what I’d like to do to all of them with a chainsaw. Luckily my grandmother, who was still living at the time, cooked thanksgiving all over the next week just for me. I didn’t mind the 6 hour drive to have my bounty.

I didn't know about it either but had some while on a trip to Texas. It was good.
