I wouldn't call it chili, just because it didn't have any beans. I want to say it was just little smokies in some sauce mix of bbq and maybe Worcester sauce. There wasn't anything else in the crock pot.

My mother used Heinz cocktail sauce
Are we having fun yet?

There was a time not long ago I would have thrown myself on a gernade for Heather..
She was so captivating..her voice a siren's song.
Enchanting, spellbinding, dream weaving vixen.
I yearn.

The Viet Cong could detect American troops by their "meat-eating" smell, it was said.  Maybe there is something to it.

Knew some Chinese who said their grandma could tell he ate meat. Also some who could claim drinkers even if not recent. Who knows?

The cookbook I have - Culinary Arts Institute Encyclopedic Cookbook from 1966.
I am amazed at how many recipes involve something set in Jell-O!

We're all like Texas Chainsaw Massacre to them. Be sure to stay downwind to sneak up on them

I'm quite the hypocritical flesh devourer, I must say.  I cried and said a prayer for the poor beast when I had to cook my first Thanksgiving full turkey (all the parts attached).  I didn't know about the baggie of items inside the bird, until after he was baked.  Almost fainted when reaching inside him.  :-[

Chili doesn't have beans. And shouldn't taste like spaghetti sauce, unless you in Cinci. And tomatoes in general are highly suspect in chili.

You're saying this in the past tense.  Have your feelings changed? We haven't had anything to do with this,  have we?

I'm sorry, @timebandit I offer an animal hug picture to try to help you feel better. Not sure how you feel about cats, so please have koalas.

Chili wherever I've had it it some type of meat, usually ground beef, but not always, and beans. I was not aware that it doesn't in some places.

Good Morning. I hope that yesterday was a good one for you. My Thanksgiving Dinner was wonderful. 18 people sharing a 27 lbs. turkey, turkey gravy, mash potatoes, stuffing, creamed corn, carrots, broccoli casserole, home make applesauce, homemade cranberries, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, breads, rolls. All our dessert were homemade including the whipped cream. We had bread pudding, crumb apple pie, blueberry pie and pumpkin pie. Two long tables were in place and decorated with Thanksgiving-themed crackers (poppers), our salute to the British. I did think of @DynamoHum.  No one talked about politics. No arguments. We enjoyed each other’s company.  My 6 year old grandson did not want to eat dinner. All he wanted was for me to build him a “super crazy” Hot Wheels track. I ate a huge meal. Washed a thousand pots, pans and dishes. And the last chore I completed was building a super crazy Hot Wheels track. Happy the day after Thanksgiving!

Excellent..can you invite me next year?

No beans in chili. Beans are great but a whole different deal. And not vegetarian due to, depending on style, bacon, fatback, ham bones, etc.
