Senior dogs are always favorites of mine. Too many are abandoned by their owners for reasons such as "he or she doesn't play much anymore". Many are abandoned because they have medical issues. Some have the money but don't want to spend it on treatment and others who can't afford it either don't want to find alternatives or don't know about available help. It is so sad to see someone surrender a pet they have had for 10+ years. It's even sadder when someone takes their lifelong pet and dumps them in another part of town to fend for itself  >:(

This is sad but true. People shouldn't commit to adopting an animal if they're not prepared to take care of it for life.

It's also sad when you go to an animal shelter it's almost all Chihuahuas and pit bulls.

R2D2 is one of the coolest droids. He cruses so much that they have to beep him on screen.

Yes, it should be a lifetime commitment. At the shelters here, usually a lot of pits and pit mixes. The smaller dogs, especially the ones that don't do ok in the shelter, will go to various local rescues fairly quickly. There have been some Malteses, Yorkies, Shih Tzus, and other smaller breeds and it is possible to get one if someone is persistent and the timing is right. I do think the pits get an undeserved bad rap and they can be great dogs if given a chance.

Hello @AutumnRain how are you doing today??

I am doing good but kind of sad that the Tunein radio stopped working for now. So no art bell... :( It's going to be okay though because I just downloaded the Best of Art Bell. I am excited about that. I just need to put it on my phone though.
How about you?
