What criminal charges could Vara even file? From what I've seen, he's the one making physical threats to people. He can't file a complaint for gabbers posting information that's in the public domain.

It's a diversion, a ruse. Hide the ongoing implosion with Heater. I'm sure he really doesn't want others looking in his closet. Also the troll thing has gotten very funny. He has got his followers saying 'Troll' in every sentence they spew, they don't even seem to notice how stupid they sound.
Vara's been doing PN for ten years as a hobby and no one cares. Heater was the chance to get noticed and its fading fast.
