Hmmm. I love natural hacks. Scrubber, antibiotic, acidic, moisturizer

1. Baking soda
2. Apple cider vinegar
3. Lemon juice
4. Honey
5. Salt
Uhh ... Running out of ideas
6. Water, of course
7. Vegetable (olive, coconut, avocado) oil
8. Vaseline
9. Glycerin
10. Sugar

I must be on the wrong track though. You don't need a druggist for these. Oh well. This was fun
I know how to remove mascara stains from white linens, towels and face clothes without bleach. Maybe that's nothing..  But the amount of women who don't use the provided makeup removers at the airbnb is astonishing.

From the Library of Congress, 1919.

                           What Will Mrs. Thompson Say?

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

This looks like the same question we had awhile back, but I checked and this one was written by a different letter writer.  But how will Mrs. Thompson answer it?  As far as clues go, all I can tell you is that Mrs. T. will advise the druggist to prepare two lotions that contain a total of seven ingredients, some that are dry and some that are liquid, and a couple that are kind of in between.  As stated, there are seven ingredients, but you can make up to ten guesses, but no more than that or you will wind up with zero points.  You don't have to try and figure out which ingredients go in each of the two lotions, that's the druggist's job, but you can advise F. B. on the directions for use.  Good luck, and every correct answer will land you 5 points.

Black heads removal lotions.
List of ingredients:
1-Green soap
2-Alcohol
3-Glycerine
4-Borax
5-Rose water
6-Spirit of lavender
7- Witch hazel
8- Boric acid
9- Cold cream
(10- Sterile needle)
LOTION 1- green soap, alcohol, glycerine  & borax.
LOTION 2-rose water, spirit of lavender & alcohol.

Directions to use you lotions.
1. Wash skin with your lotion 1.
2.  Rub in second lotion 2.
3.  Wash off with warm water.
Wash your face with a good cold cream to remove the dirt from your ork. ::)

Sulfur
Witch Hazel
Honey
Alcohol
Zinc Oxide
Benzoil Peroxide? (not sure if it was used as early as then)
Face soap
calamine lotion
Apple cider vinegar
Boric acid

Oh, who knows? That's all I can think of for now!  ;)

Wash your face well, pat it dry, then apply lotions according to pharmacist's instructions, probably one for day and one for night. And watch what you eat, too!

I often go au naturel and just let my bare face hang out. Minimal make up for me is mascara and lip gloss. So I find those make up wipes indispensable. But can always use a new hack if you care to share

Thank you @Bart Ell, @juan, @anniem, @Mr Apnea, @TigerLily, @FISH and @Aquarius, for playing the What Will Mrs. Thompson Say? game.

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Green soap
Alcohol (used in both lotions, so this was worth 10 points.)
Glycerine
Borax
Rosewater
Spirit of lavender
Water

Wash the skin with lotion #1 and rub #2 in and wash off with warm water.

FISH: 50 points
juan: 35 points
Mr. Apnea: 15 points
Aquarius: 15 points
anniem: 15 points
Bart Ell: 10 points
TigerLily: 10 points

(Newer players might be puzzled by how well FISH and juan did on this quiz.  It is because the blackhead cure is a recurring question that was sent to Mrs. T.  The funny thing is, she has answered it in different ways, giving rise to theories that there was more than one Mrs. Thompson.  (I can assure you there is/was only one.)  FISH and juan did a great job in remembering quite a number of Mrs. Thompson's blackhead answers.)

I saved a BLACKHEAD cheat sheet due to the epidemic in 1919. ;)
