What happens between now and the next Canadian election is the question. The new government will be dealing with a recession, major unemployment and provincial backlash. Can Canada hold on as a viable sovereign nation? What is Uncle Sam going to do with all those recalcitrants who refuse to pledge allegiance to the stars and stripes?

Soylent Canadian???

I don't know how close you've been following things but I recently did a piece on a report that claimed that at this point 1 in 4 Canadians WOULD be in favor of joining the US or at least be open to considering it. 1 in 4! That's huge if you think about it in just the 5-6 weeks since the original 51st state joke was made. Obviously that jab against the fancy sock swish has grown legs as it obviously has people thinking about it. I would never have imagined only ten years ago that I would feel the way I do now, but as things are with Canada being so weakened and broken I am just fine with it. I don't recognize this place.

As far as those who would not be willing to join in, they and all the 'I'm moving to Canada if he wins' types from the US can have their own section of land in the most northern parts of Canada while the rest of us move on with one giant unified fortress/continent.

I am not happy about any of this but it is what it truly is and if the cowards in Ottawa were not hiding away staving off the election that they WILL lose in a landslide we wouldn't be in this mess, or at least there would be a much earlier election and we (up here) could move forward.

Move the miscreants, those who flee the US, the illegal aliens whose countries won't take them back, to Yukon Territory. I understand there's lots of room there , and that Sgt. Preston will take good care of them.

I thought about Yukon. But at second look.. Northwest Territory looks appropriate.

Also, Yukon is atop BC and below Alaska so placing them there may prove to be somewhat of an interruption when travelling within these regions. Look at that big pink region in the north. I'm talkin' waaay up there.

Prince of Wales Island has a nice ring to it.

Prince Andrew Island, on the other hand, will be the destination of Diddy associates everywhere...

Was that too far of an Epstein allusion stretch?

This is the report: https://abacusdata.ca/trump-tariffs-canada-51ststate-polling/

Only 6% strongly in favor of joining the United States.

Concentration camps in Nunavut won't do it.

Justin made a pathetic appeal to the American public for friendship and a desperate appeal to the Canadian public for unity in his latest tariff response.  How is this likely to go over? For Canada this is economic war, for the US business as usual.

That's not the same report/poll.

As for "For Canada this is economic war, for the US business as usual." I don't care. And be careful with the passive aggressive keyboard chest beating. If we were at the same table and you kept on like that I would knock you on your arse.

I've already said in various posts that I would welcome an annexation.   And still not care.   But it would be fun to watch a certain percent of the populous lose their damn minds. THAT would be gold!

Prime minister blackface said he wanted a partnership with America but then he later admitted they're not doing everything they could and that they're going to start doing something about the drugs and the border crossings... Uh, hello? 😁😁😁😁

Trump will probably want a mea culpa moment from Justin Castro.  He got a little hint of one tonight. Young Master Justin sounded very nervous. There was a lot of issues at the beginning of his statement.

Something else that was very interesting was he had said a considerable amount, including that admission and then he spoke in French for a very short time. As if he was hiding what he just said in English from the French citizens.

Feeling thin-skinned these days? Must be the raw Canadian weather.

Some suggest this trade war is Justin's plot for Liberal re-election.

Thin skinned? No. But whatever helps ya sleep. *shrug*

With the video you're about 2 weeks behind what many other Canadian youtubers have been posting. We know what he's trying to do but he's shortsighted and doesn't see the fundamental flaws in the plan. BTW you're in Inslee country. You might as well be a BC'r for God's sake.  You actually seem to have more emotional stock in this than I do.

Once we're fellow countrymen I can easily pop over and knock your ass out right at your front door, my fellow American.  ;)

I thought he quit.  The tariffs are temporary, and are punishment for allowing Schmo's invasion to come across their border as well as our southern border.  Trump thinks that's fair, them slapping us with tariffs in retaliation is only going to draw more.  He didn't learn anything from Colombia's foolishness?

He has a better chance today than he did yesterday.
