Dear Bartlejuice

Everyone today is talking about peaches. Peaches, peaches, peaches. That's all I'm hearing. And not too long ago the subject was oranges. Let's look at the oranges. We need to investigate the oranges

Do we have some kind of fruit crisis?

Thank you for your attention

Severe shortage of durian in the United States.  This would be a much kinder, gentler nation if there was durian available on demand.

Isn’t that the one that smells worse than The Red Waddlers ass after a buffet in a rainstorm?

I think there must be a durian gene much like the asparagus gene.  I didn’t mind the smell of durian when it was first peeled open but it can be overpowering if you leave the remnants in the trash overnight. I probably ate some two-thirds of the days I was in Thailand.

In the 70’s many Vietnamese refugees were relocated here.  They decimated the shrimp and crab fisheries in Galveston Bay and it has never really recovered. But yes, there are a lot of Vietnamese. The streets on the south side of downtown even have both English and Vietnamese street signs.  The woman that cuts my hair is one of the refugees. But I have never seen durian - at least not fresh. They sell it frozen in some markets but it doesn’t freeze well.

Never smelled it. Any chance you can stomach the Canadian #CheeseTurds dish they call poutine?

Peach trees are starting to look very peachless here.
I will miss them.

Oranges are a prude fruit, you gotta put a lot of work into them to taste their juices.

I like a good macadamia.
I miss buying them at Ralphs.
I also miss that King's Hawaiian sweet round bread.

I had it 4 times on my trip back to the homeland.
Each one was a magical experience.

I have never felt the need to taste poutine. I don’t even use catsup/ketchup on my fries.  I like them Chicago style with a sprinkling of celery salt or cajun style with cajun spices.  Potatoes should only have gravy if they are mashed.

Cheese on hashbrowns at Waffle House is a suitable use of the binding agent.

What about Ted Danson's blackface incident? He must be stopped! We need action, now!
