What ever you are doing on the moon, you just stay away from the Lunasquatch!!!

He's on sabbatical and needs his rest before heading back to the desert.

It will supposedly be in lunar orbit on April 4th.

Why such a long flight time?

Because the remaining Saturn V rockets are on static display.

Best comeback of the day!

Better than talking about phasing orbits and giving a page of equations.

Where do astronauts leave their spaceships?

At parking meteors.

While this is certainly an achievement for Israel, I believe they are overstating the accomplishment.

Yes. They built the satellite.

No. They didn’t launch it.

It was launched as a secondary payload on a SpaceX rocket.

I am not sure the world powers would allow Israel to launch their own rocket capable of reaching the moon. That would open the door to allowing Iran to test their ballistic missile technology. (Which is probably North Korean).

The capability of building a powerful enough rocket to launch something to orbit or be able to pay someone to launch it is about 95% of the hurdle to any nation or company that wants to launch something into space.

The second principle is once you are in orbit you are half way to anywhere.
