As per the talking heads @ShayP , "This transaction is all about money, and getting into the NHL by any means necessary." The Pens do not need to worry about being relocated.
I'm not concerned about the Pens relocating.
@FISH It is all about money. I'm thinking this is more about development in the area. Real estate. When Lemieux and his group became owners and wanted to get rid of the Civic Arena, they didn't want to use public funding so they made all sort of development and gaming deals. Some have not come to fruition because the Yinzers that run this town are idiots. They are only just starting a project at the old arena site that was promised 20 years ago.
If this sale goes through, Lemieux will still be the face of the ownership and will be able to play more golf.

Who knows what Burkle will do. he has other interests outside of the franchise.
Question is...How will the new majority owner group handle a rebuild? Crosby and the other key cogs to the franchise won't be around much longer. Yinzers are fickle. I've seen this team on the edge of leaving town twice in my lifetime. I'm talking luggage packed and I'm about to board the bus type leaving. The future may not be so bright.
