Does anyone know if announcer Jiggs McDonald is still around? He was great at teaching people in Atlanta about ice hockey when the Flames began.
He is still around. He is on FACEBOOK.

That was a fun clip.  :)
It is a fun clip.
What about those hockey ICE skates?

I do not hate Bobby Orr.
I no longer hate Phil Esposito.
I still hate Alan Eagleson the disbarred Canadian lawyer.

Larry Clark Robinson.

Hopefully the video gets to the bottom of why he was called Big Bird.
Was it his height or his length?

No Sunday Night Hockey Watch for me.
Rikki Gins Old Time Radio - Sunday at 9pm Eastern.
After the radio show, I am going to watch Iditarod --The Toughest Race on Earth.

@FISH  That was pretty damn funny.  I love when the players are mic'd up.  Telling Johnson to "eat it up" after that hit was classic.  Also the tone of voice of the Pens player telling him to shut up at the end was great.  He was weary of it all.  Konecny did a great job getting under their skin.   ;D

No official Stanley Cup winner was declared in 1919.
Nothing was engraved onto the trophy.
In 1948 and a new collar was added to include the 1919 teams.

Montreal Canadiens
Seattle Metropolitans
Series Not Completed

Ok we all know that we are all going to die thanks to the bat soup virus.
Now for some NHL fun.
Let us talk about "The Zelepukin.""

A Zelepukin is when a team scores a dramatic goal to tie a crucial game at the end of regulation but then goes on to lose that game in overtime.
