74 years ago on February 19 1847 the Donner Party was rescued from the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
NHL outdoor games in Nevada this weekend.  the Colorado Avalanche and Las Vegas Golden Knights are playing on Saturday Feb. 20. The Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers are playing on Feb. 21.
Both games will take place on the 18th fairway of the Edgewood Tahoe Resort Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada.
Stateline is 48 miles away from Donner Lake.
Praying that the NHL brings cases of Chef Boyardee in case they get snowed in.

Too bad the Wings aren't in that game. They have a bunch of 34 year old Euro stiffs on the roster that need a culling.  Thomas Greiss Stew anyone?

Yep! I enjoyed the film Ravenous (1999). I like stories about cannibalism.

Also, game postponed until tonight. I'm not happy about this.
