The Canadiens, a team traditionally playing out of the Eastern Conference, clinched the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl on June 24th.

Western Conference playoff champions / the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl first win was the-PHILADELPHIA FLYERS.
Miniature Clarence Campbell Bowl trophy awarded to Andre MOOSE Dupont of the Flyers during their 1974-75 championship season. I loved the DUPONT "shuffle."

@Walks_At_Night OK so now that the little team that couldn't, did! Do you switch to the Rangers or Lighting for the big prize? There is no right or wrong answer to this, just asking. I know alot of people who just wanted vegas out but will now root for The Rangers should they pull through but if the Lightning prevail these same people will in the Go Habs camp.   Everybody throwing their hockey votes all over the place.

Marinaro is from Montreal North / Saint Leonard
They pronounce it Montreal Nort.
It's an Italian, English, French mix.

They have their own dictionary -

Marinaro also ripped off his entire shtick from the legendary Ted Tevan.
Ted was on in Windsor / Detroit for a few years so maybe @Walks_At_Night heard him, too

To be honest @KSM , I'm not a big fan of hockey teams located in cities without snow. I understand it is good for the league and hell, the Hurricanes play just around the corner from me. It doesn't seem right somehow. So I guess, go Islanders.

I had left for the sunnier climes by then so I'm not familiar with Mr. Tevan.  Too bad. He seemed pretty entertaining.

I was aware of Mr. Campbell's history. I did not want to speak ill of the dead. 
However, I did find it interesting that the HABS won the Clarence Campbell Bowl on the anniversary of his death.
