It takes special skill to be saying your guy "knows what he is doing here" as he is getting pummeled.

Some guy in a Britsh league [didn't know the Brits liked hockey enough to have a league], took a skate to the jugular/carotid and died. The video is horrible - he got Kung Fu'd in the neck. Like Malarchuk but worse.

Ex-NHL player Adam Johnson, 29, dies after 'freak accident'

They had 8,000 there... that's like 4 games in Atlanta whenever the league decides to go back for the 3rd time.

Wow.  Good sized crowd.

Western Canada seems to collect former Atlanta NHL franchises. Saskatoon is licking its chops.

I would like to see another northern team. The math is so lopsided favoring the US. Where WE are, WAN. US. As in the USA. That said, Canada would run out of sizeable cities for potential NHL teams rather quickly.

I would like to see the Quebec Nordiques restored, as well as two teams in Saskatchewan in their two larger cities, one in central BC or Victoria, and perhaps a Windsor franchise might be interesting.

''Chop your F-ing neck off''?  Your neck - how does that even make sense?  Maybe after chopping the head off?

After years of frustration with Thornton and Marleau underperforming in the playoffs, while being hailed as franchise cornerstones, I gave up on the Sharks.  Plus the guy who got us all going to games moved back to Nebraska.

I'm down to checking where they are in the standings a few times a year.

So I check last night, and what do I see.  What the hell's going on in SJ?  They lose two games back-to-back 10-1 and 10-2.  In that first one, the 10 matched the entire Sharks goals scored during the season up to that point.

Are they doing a season long tank to draft hockey's version of Michael Jordan or something?
