Hey, gimme a break.  I didn't watch all 240 episodes in one go.  I broke it down to three 80 episode binges.  I'm very health conscious.

That's what I did when I finally watched "Lost". Concerned people staged an intervention.

Bart, two weeks ago I bid on an $84,000 (my bid) job consisting of 65 suites housed in a new old folks complex. Today I found out that I've made the short list and I'm pretty sure that means my lil company is one of three remaining proposals. I currently have two guys in my crew making us a grand total of three! I have serious doubts that we will be able to complete the job within the nine week deadline of it's start. I will need two other guys and I have no idea where to find them :o :o Help wanted ads have been placed.. :-\

This is the ultimate in biting off waaay more than I can chew. Sleepless restless nights ahead. And my wife is stoked with audible blurtings of blind support with things like "you guys can do it! I know you can!!" HUH ???   With my small and current crew, I don't think we can and I want my mommy.

EDIT: Why did I bid on this job? Because every flooring place in town had thrown their hats in the ring and I figured it was a very, very long shot that I would even be considered. Fuck! ME!

I can read between the lines.
You want me to send them a link to your posts here so they drop you and you can go back to your stress free life.
I understand.
Done.

Is your bid strong enough that you can afford to sub some of it out through a competitor or would their profit margin eat yours up?

You may find that at $1,300 a suite you came in a wee bit light, even if each one is only a few hundred SF...any wiggle room in materials spec'd?

If not you fellas had best learn to work in sleep shifts straight through.

Plan B...the Bart outing... ::)

I haven't worked a Friday in almost seven years. Ok, maybe 10-12 isolated times but getting this job will fuck all that up.

The suites are 282 sq ft per unit. Basically a square room with a smaller kitchenette square room off of it. And yes a small bathroom off the 6-8 kitchen. So the $$ per unit is actually pretty good. I now think I can get this done with only one extra guy. I'll use him for prepping units before we start working in them. As long as he's staying ahead of us by a minimum of two units we should be fine. Subbing work out to a competitor would be very bad and can have a tendency to get violent.

If I went for plan B, the Bart out; I might as well sell everything, get a divorce, loose half of everything, and move to the moon. What happens in Ell stays in Ell. 8)

Always throwing the big boats at me, huh. Or in this case, boat. Anyways, I'm off to the drapery to get her some custom slippers made. ;D

Lol, welp you got it knocked, congrats on rejiggering the prep, sorry your Fridays get trashed, but you do keep the profits in house.

In a big enough metro area its easier to sub work out to some of the younger trades that tend to whore out to the big builders. Those guys almost always double dip on weekends and they're super hard workers (read - Latinos).

If the border leakage gets corrosive enough you too can experience the wonders of a deflationary labour force, but you must grasp the cultural significance of being the patron!

Onward. 8)

Yeah there is that. Either way I'd rather pay a Canadian born English speaking young redneck-ish guy who's looking to work and learn, not to mention somebody I can converse with at the annual Christmas party. I'll pay the extra $$ per hour for somebody we all like.

Ok, now, onward.  ;)

Yoouuu dirty rat ;)  Guess it was just a matter of time before the seemingly obvious question was addressed.

This is the last I will speak on it and I feel like a real asshole for ever bringing it up!! Keep in mind, before I answer your question she is TALL! She's a tennis player swimmer chick, so.. anyways..

She wanted to try a pair of those Skechers for the gym but from what I understand those only go up to 11's in womans sizes. Men's 12's do the trick. A neutral white pair, and a black pair. Did your eyes pop out of your head? Did you giggle under your breath? Fine, it's ok.

This sooo ends this topic. Done!

Was she living in a sandy region when you met her?
