Got a message from an ex-girlfriend going back 30 plus years...  She's come down with the same medical issue that I have.  We went to a lot of the same places, drank some of the same booze, shared bodilies.  Now my wondering if there might be a connection...

We never discussed politics back in the day, turns out we ended up very much the same ideologically. She became a police officer, very pro-gun and got a lot of grief from family and friends for becoming a cop because she's black and she's from a really low-success rate community. 

Eh... Who knows. I'll mention it to my doctor and she'll mention it to hers.
