I didn't know this! Star Trek: The Next Generation, at the end of season 3, offered to let Patrick Stewart out of his contract and wrote a script "Best of Both Worlds" to let him exit.

Believe it or not, Patrick Stewart changed his mind and stayed with the series. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
