Don't underestimate the importance of the underlayment. An expensive flooring material on a bad underlayment is an expensive faux pas. Dense cork is amazing; moistureproof and bug resistant.

In all seriousness I'm not laying down a permanent flooring option at this time. I'm ripping out the carpet (it was an extra spare bedroom before) and laying down rubber flooring. It's the puzzle type so any doofus with a T-square can cut it for wall to wall installation. I'm laying it directly on the subfloor. It'll hold up to my reformer as well as the other...activities...that will take place in the room and will be easy to remove should I ever change my mind (looking at you, you rat bastard
@GravitySucks ). I plan on doing it in black so it'll show off the silver bricks and gun storage that will take place in the former walk-in closet as
@Walks_At_Night recommended. The tank will need to be stored in HIS driveway because mine is concrete and can't take that sort of weight.
