Advance Auto Parts buys out the Pep Boys auto parts stores (not the repair shops).
Then they start sinking.

K-Mart meet Sears, Sears meet K-Mart...

While I'm not hunting down photos, don't Michael McDonald and Glenn Beck look alike?

I see a face in that toast.

I see a face in that toast.

If I sprinkled some cocaine meth on it, I could understand why you might see a face.

Looking at it again, is the face you see sideways? Those two little humps of butter might be like the ears on top of a anime character face?

Weirdest thing. Standing in the kitchen when suddenly my second from the back upper molar just crumbled in my mouth. The only cavity/filling I ever had. Now all that remains are jagged edges of the remaining 30-40 % of the tooth. Exposed nerve seems to be deadening which is good.

Huh

Is the hot dentist liberal girl a practitioner of voodoo by any chance? Could it be fate? 😁

For an emergency filling kind of thing, a lot of stores carry dental wax. Just use a saltwater gargle mouthwash thing, as warm as possible and as salty as possible, rinse your mouth out and then put the wax in.

Jersey Mike's is doomed.

If corporate buyouts of restaurant chains were a baseball player, they'd be batting .010. The failure rates are incredibly high. Plus, the type of business they are, they are politically very myopic.

Haha  Didn't strike me as the voodoo type. White chick from Tulsa? Naahh
Things didn't end badly with her, it just didn't work out. First meeting; she came to my work one day with a friend, that was odd.

I recently discussed on my stupid but lovely show how I had never seen The Usual Suspects like apparently everyone else had years ago. I watched it.

I now admit to having never watched No Country For Old Men, even though I've had the movie in my files for over 10 years now.

When I hear the term piss away, I think of another thread here... Falkie Is an expert on pissing away money. I found evidence of another lame excuse. This is old information, very old research. Here in Southern California I even knew of a surfboard maker down in Pacific Beach who was using plexiglass sections of his surfboards to let light through so that sharks wouldn't mistake it for big fat seal.

Hell, it's not even the only time I heard about that type of prevention as I believe somebody put some life-saving ocean bag things with floaties at the top and made them of reflective material so that light would glimmer off of it and keep the sharks from attacking.

No wonder the world is in an economic crisis. Spending money to reinvent the wheel.

From the "no good deed goes unpunished" file:

I guess the Scottish don't know about that old saying about one man's trash being another man's treasure...
