While we are here @PolkaDot Been seeing more and more instances of people using tool chests in their kitchens.
Probably cheaper and sturdier than a kitchen cart or island but at the end of the day - it is still a tool box.

Okay
@Walks_At_Night , I can tell from your
tone *ahem* that you expect me to hate this- but I don’t. In some circumstances it is much sturdier and cheaper then available furniture. It also fits some aesthetics - especially with the butcher block tops they offer. Would I have it in my current kitchen ? No. Totally different aesthetic made for entertaining - BUT I would put it in my covered outdoor area that I use for smoking and grilling because it’s much more casual. I’ve also lived in apartments and rentals I’d totally have done this in.
I’ve actually had my eye on one of the adjustable tables with a few shallow drawers for art when my glass drafting table doesn’t do the trick.
I give it a MAYBE- consider carefully.
PS it works in your picture bc of the clean well done linoleum and freshly stained cabinets (is that plywood but with a straight grain?!?) cheap but well done kitchen … that you’ll have to redo within the decade
