Golden clouds at sunset. I've only witnessed these sunlit types of clouds on two other occasions over the years. Sometimes I will try to manipulate the images, to bring out the color, but this time I didn't have to bother.

Was visited by this member of the Cicada family awhile back. Cicadas in the Pacific Northwest are annual in nature, meaning that they get it all done (egg, larvae, insect, breed, deposit next years eggs in tree bark) in a year, unlike their more famous cousins back east that bury themselves in the ground and wait for a number of years before emerging topside, en masse.

Impatiens and kale picked up at a garden clearance - amazingly resilient.

A nice cloud formation. I like the windswept part over the tree.  (Click for a larger image.)

Last night's full Harvest Moon.
Oh @Rikki Gins - this is a great pic!
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

@PolkaDot   Oh, I'm so glad you liked it, Dot! I'd be embarrassed to say how many pictures I took before I got that one.  (The moon wouldn't hold steady for me.)  ;D

Had a spot of sunshine yesterday morning so I sat out in the garden and enjoyed a cup of coffee. I noticed a halo around the top of the sun so I took a picture of it.

Light overcast, no drizzle, no wind and one weird bug.

I'll have garden related stuff when summer rolls back around.  This morning about 7am I wanted to snap a shot of our first snow dusting. Unexpectedly the reflection of the ceiling light fixture from my kitchen about 30 feet behind makes an appearance - in the sky.  Almost like an Art Bell UFO/Orb shot.  ;)

How do you stand all that bothersome snow?
Merry Christmas - Nice things, and posts, are nicer than nasty things.

1/4 inch? It'll be gone by 11am. As for the main stuff? Bring it on. Makes for an even merrier Christmas. Love It!
