Hit by 2 cars

The second car that hit him was the fatal one. Apparently, and I believe this, the driver was distracted by all sorts of people trying to stop him so he wouldn't hit the old guy... So, instead of looking forward as if he were driving normally he was looking to his sides where everybody was jumping up and down.

On the topic of unintended consequences...

During the shootout situation at that mosque in New Zealand or Australia, as soon as the gunman went to a different room to start shooting other people, everybody started moaning and groaning which only prompted him to return and shoot them more. I saw an interview where a young guy at that mall in Thailand is recounting he told everybody in the store to be quiet so as not to attract the gunman.  Smart dude, he's got a future.

I had to put my dog, Ginger, down today.  I'm sad and heartbroken but also relieved as it had been a long and steady decline over the last year.  She had reached the point where she could no longer walk and had been crying a lot over the last few days.   She wasn't a celebrity but she meant a lot to me and so I'm commenting on her death here.  She was 16.  I'll see you on the other side, girl. Have fun running in the valleys on the other side of the Rainbow bridge.  I'll meet you there in 30 or 40 years.

Sorry to hear, 21.  I hope the final hours were comfortable for her and good closure for you and yours.

Ginger is a star here, sir.
Sorry to read about her in this way.

I'll meet you there in 30 or 40 years.

So that makes you about 25?
I figured you to be a bit older than that.

Apologies, I was too nice above and felt I needed to even it up.

My condolences, our pets are more important than any celebrity and Ginger deserves to be memorialized here just as much as anyone.  It's always a beyond tough decision but in the end it's the greatest act of love we can show to our furry friends.  Your love for Ginger is apparent and I have no doubt she lived a fantastic life with you!

Ginger is a real STAR. A forever bond is formed with our life long pets.  Losing such an important part of the family is never easy.
I am so sorry for your loss.
