This saddens me a great deal. I first heard Ian way back on coast in the early 2000's and he sounded so young. He was easy to listen to on nights when Art was not in, and I can't say that about all of them.  My thoughts are with his family and friends.

I have a great deal of Ian shows and I think I'll put one on now and broadcast it throughout every room.

Fuckin dammit.  :'(

He could be a bit of a dick at times but in general I enjoyed the shows he hosted. Of the stable of Bell's backups - I liked him and Rollye James about the best.

My feelings as well. To make matters worse, we'll undoubtedly have to listen to one of George's half-ass tribute shows.

Laura Lynch - founding member of the pre-commie Dixie Chicks - 65.
https://www.npr.org/2023/12/23/1221456277/laura-lynch-founding-member-of-the-chicks-dies-at-65-in-texas-car-crash

Social media is really something with the amount of people it commentating on that this Dixie Chick saying ""ashamed President George Bush is from Texas" because of the Invasion of Iraq. Of course first this particular "chick" left the band during Clinton's first term, second wow the uproar at the time(and holding it today) for saying something as soft as "being ashamed of a president" compared the crap that's said after that (I am sure Clinton heard worse), and thirdly which demo right now is still on the "Hey don't diss Bush over Iraq" Even current republicans are like F-that guy I was never for the war  ::)

On a bit of a lighter note. Fox News being Fox news put the wrong Laura Lynch photo during their report of the death.  What makes it ultra strange they did have the video footage from the early/mid-90s of her singing with the original Dixie Chicks but than put a photo of a Canadian reporter with the same name as a still. How did they think the first woman playing music is the same woman as the second picture, 30 YEARS later lol.

The point for a lot of people was she said it at a concert in London.  The idea being politics used to stop at the border.

RIP The Costco Churro.

Long the target of Costco, a 50% price increased didn't kill it, but they're getting their way after all...  Replaced by a cookie of all things. For fucks sake!

Shecky Greene (sp?) Something like 97 years old.

I was going to write something a snarky about him dying while pounding a Figueroa Street prostitute his nurse picked up in Los Angeles... But I'm kind of feeling low energy right now...
