I just heard about Rick Derringer while driving around tonight. I did not know he played on Steely Dan records and producing Weird Al. I knew about being on Frankenstein. I thought he produced records on the Scotti Records label. I think stuff like Eye of the Tiger. Time to Google.

I literally learned this when I was talking to my luthier about two other recent deaths.

BW was in bad shape for the last what seems like 3+ years. After his wife died, i expected his care would have dropped off a lot more.

Brian NEVER surfed and, from what I think I remember, that was his first time trying to surf. I may be wrong on that but I remember there was an interview about that bit...
