David Kaff, dead at 79.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Kaff

Did he leave a green globule on his chair?

Tap's best keyboardist, by meters.

Rivera is dead

FOIA requests might solve that mystery. Way too young.

Groenvold is dead  ⚡🪦

It seems like a lot of athletes from multiple sports get hit by lightning. It is probably because they are used to being in inclement weather for training purposes, so they don't take cover like a typical person would.

There seems to be a shitload of Latin American baseball players (I remember a brave's catcher was out adjusting his satellite dish and got hit with lightning), tons of football players, and I mean both types of football. Of course, I don't remember any basketball players getting hit with lightning...

Lee Trevino got hit with lightning, if I'm not mistaken.

The catcher you referenced, are you talking about Bo Diaz?  Diaz died when the massive satellite dish of the day he was installing on his home fell on him and crushed his head.  This was in Venezuela in the late 80s/early 90s.

I may be conflating them. There was somebody who was hit by lightning. Maybe a catcher from another team or maybe another Brave but not a catcher. To quote Vinny Barbarino, "I'm so confused!"

Well, if she hadn't died already, she would have died sooner than later. 87 is A-OK, the extreme pain isn't.

Fake news!

Although the mistake was portrayed a little more cynically in the article...
