I was just driving and the Los Angeles news announced it as unconfirmed.

Hey, he held on for that last show. I know a lot of people who made it a goal to accomplish something before their death, they finish it and within two weeks they're dead. That has happened a lot in the music circles that I know.

He really reformed himself. He made himself human and was self-effacing and really did a great job in being The Lovable Ozzy that he was.

So the bat head is an urban myth?  Was still in high school when that went down - huge deal.  Huge.  Most of the girls were horrified and disgusted.  Most of the dudes were pretty stoked.  The assumption was the thing was already dead so not really cruelty to animals.  Just more desiccating a corpse.  Speculation was rampant about what happened to it.  Did Oz just chomp it off and spit it out into the crowd or did he gobble it on down all gone?

Dove just doesn't hit as hard.

No Twitter or Tik Tok back then.  Might have been better - the word on the street came up with some pretty groovy stuff.  Rod Stewart gobbling so much whammer that he had to have his stomach pumped of the sperm.  The Mikey Life commercial cereal kid having his stomach explode from eating bags of pop rocks and shotgunning a Classic Coke.  The arcade game Polybius that was some sort of CIA operation to control the problematic Gen-X youth.  Probably just in Michigan - the Wexford County Horror of 1987, where Dogman showed up on its 10 year schedule and kicked some serious ass.  Those freaks in High School that went and saw the Rocky Horror Picture Show every Friday and Saturday night were really Satanists.  Also a wild one about the government forcing TV to show reruns of The Bob Newhart Show to induce alcoholism and keep that youth under control.  The deal was every time someone on the show said "Hi Bob" you had to gun down a short of booze.   WAN *might* have been a Hi Bobber for short time until the Old Man had a heart to heart talk with him about WAN family woes with the hair of the dog.
