Some of you may know one of my dogs is unwell. Here’s the update.

Ringo has an enlarged spleen. He’s having a sample taken of it and possibly his liver as well. Dental is cancelled til we know what’s going on with his spleen as it’s not right to put him through what will be a major dental procedure. The Spleen is enlarged in one area which doesn’t bode well. They are ringing me when he’s all done and up and about. Test results later this week. They are going to have a quick look in his mouth (he won’t let the vet look when he is awake) to see if there’s anything really bad going on there. Probably coming home with painkillers and antibiotics.

This is going to be a shite week. Bailey is very mopey.

Cheers everyone. I really really appreciate it - I’m a fool who takes on old dogs and then gets upset when they do what old dogs do. 

He’s back from the vet has a good supply of opioids and antibiotics for a tooth abscess (the reason for the dental that didn’t go ahead) we get the results Wednesday or Thursday.
