Yes, but not as wrong as hockey in Phoenix.
Or Vegas.  :D  And I thought a Dallas hockey team was radical.  Shouldn’t they be on horses and wearing cowboy hats?

I don’t really follow the NHL.  I didn’t even know there was team in Tampa Bay.  Ice hockey in TB?  That is just wrong.
@ItsOver  That is it in a nutshell. Towns that do not know what it is to deal with ice and snow should not have an NHL team. "That is just wrong"

PS  We don't say ICE   hockey.  Hockey will do just fine. We know it's played on ice. And so do you.

I guess all the northern transplants help sustain the southern and south west teams.  It’s still just wrong.

This is shocking to me.  I don't follow hockey closely but I thought the Leafs were usually one of the better teams.

They have had some incredible players and if I recall correctly no team has more guys in the hall of fame. Yet when push comes to shove...........

Since the Pandemic every championship in the major four leagues has gone to Florida or California. Err the state of Florida getting another Championship/Cup. Well at least the streak will break in the NBA with a team from Wisconsin and Arizona in the final, but another "Sun State in Arizona"

Is it really choking when a team loses to a team that's either on a hot streak, better, or just got a bad call or lucky bounce?

In a league of, say, 30 teams, on average any given team wins the championship once every 30 years.

There can be actual choking, and just like clutch play and winning, it can become contagious.  To me it seems pretty rare at that level though.  The refs though, whole other story.

Hot streak? They were up 3 games to 1. How hot could a team be that lost their last 3 games?
Better? Toronto finished with 18 more points.
Bad call? Up 3 games to 1
Lucky bounce? Up 3 games to 1.

BUT THIS YEAR IS DIFFERENT!
Nope.
The Maple Leafs haven't won a playoff series since 2004.
They have eight straight losses in series-clinching games.
Here is a favorite among their many chokes.

These playoffs are interfering in what would normally be televised baseball games! I hope the lightning just get the thing done already! TONIGHT!  Fucking same game on every sportsnet and TSN channel is ludicris.

So much for the benefit of the doubt.  Back in the Before Days, when I was a sports fan, I was a proud fair weather fan.  If the team and/or management didn't care, why should I.

Anyway, back to the Tour...
