Funny how you took what I said personally. Did I single you out? Mention you in any way? No. Oh yes, you too have a tendency to get carried away with overwording things but that is understandable as you feel tasked to keep up with all the other windbags but hey, whatever works. Beginning to start recording in the new place.  The drum sounds are strong but overall they come out very dry. All that carpet. I'm considering a room effect on the overhead. Missing my drum room, vocal booth, and of course main control room with live area in the center of it all.  From 580 sq ft to 260 but It's going to sound good! Perhaps really good! Or really shitty!!!

Lots of sexy compression on the room mics will make it sound big.
If you aren't using room mics then go a bit harder on the compression on the overheads and you may find it opens up the room.

I didn't think that general statement was aimed at me. We all known I'm pithy and to the point. Thank you for the compliment. It's the headdress. Thank goodness I picked the flowers early before the Russians blew up the garden

I'll bet that if I do a search on "sexy compression" I find a picture of Hamster Muffin in compression nylons.  BTW - it worked. Sounded great. I wouldn't normally apply anything to an OV-head mic but, yep.

I did say a New Seattle Sound. I'm into stuff besides grunge - kinda.No. Seriously. I love a lot of your songs and real Metal. Maybe I just need better exposure. I was thinking about a new thread. You can take the Grunge out of the Girl where people expose me to Metal. I already like alot but don't feel that deep love like I do for grunge. Kind of like my Classical Music thread but in reverse. Expose me to the Best of the Really Hard Rock and Metal. I know @ShayP has a lot to share

@Bart Ell   I think the Garth experiment is over. A dud. I was unable to deliver the necessary Garthness to sustain such an identity. So, that said; I would like to return to normal.
