What ever happened to the ball?

I put it in a box 'o junk in 1991 for safe keeping when I headed south.
I picked the box up in 2011 and it sits somewhere in my storage room... probably until I croak and Bairyn tosses it out.

The best major league baseball watching I experienced was at the late Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida.  It was a small stadium where you could really see and interact with the players.

A spring training trip to Tigertown in Lakeland is on my bucket list.

Old Tiger Stadium in Detroit was pretty decent for player interaction. Once yelled something cute at Ricky Henderson when he played for the A's and he gave me the finger. Hid it in his glove so Billy Martin wouldn't fine him.

May not be too long before we hear reports that Shohei Ohtani has a gambling problem...

Dammit, opening day is supposed to be in Cincinnati not South Korea.
Merry Christmas

At least the homeplate umpire didn't die on the field.

Too soon?

Saw this fun fact...

Pete Rose could come back and go 750-for-750 and Tony Gwynn still would have a higher career batting average...
Eh, nevermind...

Interesting stat came out recently regarding Tigers bonus baby, firstbaseman, Spencer Torkleson. Since 1950, only two major League firstbasemen had 150 at bats without a home run - a 75 year old, Pete Rose when he was near the end during his second run with the Reds and Spenny Tork this season. Must have got Tork's goat as he has hit two homers in the last few games.

Car fire at Dodger Stadium so the organist fires up some Billy Joel.

Don't throw a changeup to a bad hitter, that's the one pitch they CAN hit...

HS, not major league...

Short pop-up falls between 2B, SS, and CF.  Batter/runner to 2B when no one covering, 3B runs to 2B, batter/runner to 3B when no one covering, C runs to 3B, batter/runner to HP when no one covering, CF runs him down for the tag out at Home Plate.  Triple, put out by CF unassisted..
