Somebody in my neighborhood did a Craigslist ad for a bunch of free stuff. It was one of those "must take all" deals. All the crap was accessible from the street.

So somebody came up, grabbed what they wanted and left. Dude went out screaming at him. The stuff that was left was total garbage. I love it! 😈😈😈

I think it was one of Art Bell's guests who talked about sleep being like a bank needing a steady balance.

So you sleep 5 hours one night, your body catches up the next night. Maybe if you just got 7 hours of sleep you would do better consistency wise.

I was going to add that a consistent 7 would be nice. Last night was another 9. Art had a few guests say that, mostly the lucid dream and OBE crowd.

Why wouldn't the guy be happy that someone came and took everything off his hands/lawn in one swoop? That is damn queer stuff!

Let's bring that word back when referring to oddities and such.
Crossdressing guy who owns and operates a lama sanctuary. "Well now that's queer"

It is kind of sad, but what that kid exclaimed is so reflective of what's going on in this world. All those Airbnb places with hidden cameras...

No, this is not TMI!

I'm at a car dealership, looking to buy something new... My salesman, who's actually the manager¹ ended of taking a bathroom break just after I decided I needed one .

I walk right in and go to the very back urinal. He later asked me, not in the bathroom, why I went all the way to the back. And I explained my logic: When you are further away from a potential mass shooter, a degree of accuracy in a person's aim has to be higher. If you are 4 ft away from somebody and they're 15° off, they're going to still hit you. But if you are 24 ft away and they are 15° off, they will miss you.

I also added in that, if somebody were to come up and physically try to attack me, I have a big wall of tile to bash the jackass's head into.

Is that logical enough? Maybe I am overthinking this.

¹ The manager is my salesman because I am a handful, but I'm actually going to buy, so they can't dismiss me if I am too stressful for a lowly beginner.

Just say that you want the pisser back by the wall so you can wipe boogers on it in protest of the dealer markups, plus the documentation and shipping fees.

Sooo... The car that I had reserved is coming from a dealership that traditionally adds $9,000 as a market adjustment and stupid dealer installed options (DIOs).

The salesman, who I have gone to multiple times and have made personal referrals to, gets it waived for me. They don't install the stupid disabling device, they don't do the paint protection, nor the serial number etching and they don't do the market adjustment.

I have been shopping for an extended warranty deal for this new car. I have been shopping it out with numerous dealerships throughout the state. I give them the VIN number to get the quote. A few of these dealerships have gotten back to me telling me that they can beat the price of the car that I've ordered. It's difficult to explain to them, because I don't want to get my salesman and his OnlyFans-hot office assistant in trouble. (OK, from the neck down she's incredibly hot, I don't see how her husband lets her out of the house with some of the things that she wears). She's not a commissioned salesperson, so it's not like she's trying to upsell anything... Uh, nevermind...

These other dealers come back to me with this $4,000 to $5,000 more expensive offer for a less-equipped or wrong color car thinking they're doing great because they're not charging as much for the market adjustment and DIOs. I just pass the excuse along that I'm being loyal to a guy who's taken care of me for a long time... In reality, I would dump that deal in a heartbeat if somebody came up with a better value (not necessarily lower price, but a better deal) and met all of my option and color requirements.

I am still at this dealership. I drove a long way because they have three cars that "fell through" on their reserve deposits. I'm just not feeling it though.

Yeah - they need to get a clue and wake up.  They wonder why some of the units sit around for 100's of days unsold.  Around here the Jeep people seem to have seen the light but not something I am interested in.

Thing is, Toyota offers a fleet truck that doesn't have all the crap in it, but it still has all the safety stuff in it. They are under $25,000!

I bet if they offered that as a regular item, it would be their top seller.

I'd love to be able to buy a plain Prado like the rest of the world gets.
Merry Christmas - Nice things, and posts, are nicer than nasty things.

@JUAN I found a new sardine source. A little strip mall about 4 blocks from here has one of those "Dollar Stores" and I needed a birthday card for someone who doesn't matter all that much to me. Whilst in the store I noticed a canned goods and food-stuff section.   "Hmm" - I actually said that to myself within the confides of my head.   I walked on down the wall to see if they had any brown sugar - they did not! But what I did see was a canned fish section! AHHH-HAAA!!!  There it was! A full section of sardines in water, oil, and even ketchup! I cleaned them out with 27 cans at a tax free rate of $1.25 per can!

I felt dirty being in that store and was fearful of being recognized because of my hugely popular radio show. Next time I'll wear a covid mask just like all the other patrons.
