Possibly the most terrifying death scene in cinema.  So long Susan/Chrissy, RIP.

Don Perlin, comic book illustrator, 94.

As a kid (comic book nerd), Mr. Perlin's work was some of my favorite.  RIP, sir.

The Mirage

I remember when the Styrofoam shell of the building caught fire. That must've been 2005-06. It might've been a Saturday because I was driving on the west side and I usually did that on Saturdays.

I also remember Ringo Starr being an asshole at the Mirage when LOVE opened. "Peace and love" my ass.

I bet the longest lasting casino on the strip is probably Circus Circus. That is pathetic!

Ate at the buffet there once. There were some Germans eating there. Some little old teutonic granny, grabbing a ladle and giving a portion of disgusting muck the evil eye.  "Ach Mein Gott". Good times.   :D
