Oh interesting.  If I saw that it would register as gray and I wouldn't think twice about it.

What about browns that look, well, brown?

No socks? And those shoes are awful regardless.  He should be thrown off a bridge.

The tie sucks too and handkerchief is wrong...IMO.  Personal taste of course.  ;)

Oh.  The shoes really are awful.

LOL. Yes. I think it's playing off the brown = casual thing you alluded to earlier.  ;)
There was a little girl,

Right in the middle of her forehead.

            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

Historical tidbit. In the famous Nixon/Kennedy televised debate. Kennedy wore, I believe a navy blue suit with authority. Tall, composed, well-spoken. Nixon wore a brown suit. Sweaty, nervous, sneaky looking. That was the death of the brown suit
That BASTARD!!!

To get real brown options right now I had to go Italian. Why? Because Italians are awesome.  ;D

In 1982 I was getting out of the Air Force.  I needed advice in dressing up in the corporate world especially for interviews to find a job in software development.  Back then it wasn’t a bunch of millennials in torn jeans and sandals.  Someone told me to read a book called “Dress for success”.

The only thing I remember from that book was never wear brown.  It had been awhile since I wore my brown leisure suit anyways so I gave it to goodwill.  In my 33 years working around NASA I never owned brown dress clothes and probably only saw one or two people in a brown suit.

Someone in the Air Force must have read that book as well. We used to have uniforms called “1505s” which were tan or light brown but they fazed them out in the 70’s.  It was my favorite uniform because you could wear shorts in the summer if you didn’t mind knee socks.  But we could only wear black shoes.

I don't think they were 'millennials.'  Too soon.  More like older hippies.  That later uniform with the shorts seems like a British thing.  I would be a fan too because of the ease of movement with shorts.  I wear shorts until the temperature gets into the 50's.  Some people look at me like I'm crazy.

Yes.  Same issue I had with @GravitySucks regarding PINK a while back.  Those shades are in the family of that base color.  ;)
