I finally did it! I’m pretty stoked. I’m now the proud owner of three new holes filled with white gold and amethyst on my left ear.

I dated a woman who had 4 or 5 in her left ear.
She was on TV and told me that when she worked in Dallas, she had to keep her hair over her ears so she wouldn’t shock the very sensitive Texans.
The kinky Californians let her set her freak ear free.

I’m at 5 on that ear.
At least Cali has that going for it.

…and don’t think I didn’t notice what you did there …

But when she was bad she was horrid.

Ok maybe I *don't* want to go to the Amazon and live with a tribe.  But I can't stop watching this guy's videos.

Joan of Arc taking a rock to the dome on June 12, 1429.  She'd shake it off and lead the lads to victory.

The Mariner's offered a 51 incher in honor of Johnson's number being retired.  Wonder if K Dubb grabbed a couple of them Big Unit's?

The removal of the Indian maiden from the Land O Lakes butter was due to some P.C. silliness.  Turns out it was due to some perverts performing perversions on her.   :'(

I'm glad I watched this video - I was driving this am and the KfK commercial came on.  Usually it's an instant station change, but today I let it go.

After a few seconds of the original, there was that record scratching sound and the new one started up.  Lol.  So much better.

@Bart Ell @KSM - that making of the commercial bothers me and I figured out why.  Those kids recorded sitting in a chair in an office and each individually.  Gone is the aura of going to the studio, the dim colored lights, the sound proofing, the engineer and producer behind the glass.  The recording turned out good, so maybe its OK, but some of the magic is gone, I would think.

Then there's the way Glenn Miller did it

They would have done it the same way if they had 24 tracks available instead of one.

Yeah.  Or unlimited tracks like now.
Thought for the movie, Miller had two tracks.  The movie people couldn't get the sound of the band with traditional recording, so they set up two optical recorders with widely spaced mics.  The result was we actually have Glenn Miller in stereo - so far as I know the first stereo.

Heading into "the studio" to record your bands demo tape or to record an actual worldwide release used to mean something.

The advent of hard disk recorders and such created the 'home studio' where a guy in his bedroom with a desk in the corner now thought he had a "studio" right there next to the bin of crotch-rot undies and dirty socks. Sickening.  I did the hard disk recording method but I had a 660 sq ft area to build a drum room, vocal booth, and a guitar/amp room. In the middle of it all was a good sized Live Area with a bar in the center and mounted TV's on the walls to have the game on while you did whatever. I did it right but I still say it's a shame that everyone and their dog has a studio in their bedroom now.

Does this even speak to your post? I don't know.. but ya got me going.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean.  Going to the studio used to be special.
