Here are five questions posed by a boy of seventeen, for a change.  Question number 4 might require two answers, depending on if you say that it is OK for a boy his age to take a girl to a dance.  Good luck and remember, each correct answer is worth 20 points.

1. Yes unless properly chaperoned.
2. Yes.
3. Yes.
4. Yes if chaperoned and yes.
5. This is a tough one. It's not what I might say, but I think Mrs. Thompson might say yes. She needs to be the proper age at least. I'm not sure what comment she would make about her being another nationality as long as she is respectable.

1. Yes and no.  Yes, he is too young to take a girl to the picture shows or parties.  However it is OK for him to take a girl to school or entertainment activities at a church.
2. No, once a week is fine but Mrs. T. warns any seventeen year old boy not to spend too much time with a girl.  Mrs. Thompson would also like it to be known that she has a 'grumpy side' to her personality and she does not approve of joy rides.
3. Yes, the parents have every right to object to his taking out a girl for a spin.
4a. Yes, it is all right to take a girl to a school dance.
4b. No, he should invite the girl first, and then she can take it up with her parents.
5. No, a girl being one year older and whatever her nationality is, is of no importance.  So long as she is respectable. that's all that matters.

Yes, it is all right to give the young lady a Christmas present.  And yes, it is all right for Mom to invite her over for dinner.  Now why am I giving you the answers ahead of time?  Because those questions aren't worth much point wise.   There are more points to be made in what Mrs. Thompson wasn't asked.  She will recommend two proper gifts that can be sent to the young lady.  Can you guess what they are?  20 points for each correct answer.

Dear James,
The imposter Mrs. Thompson got in here again.
You should get her a book or a stationery set to write your mother a thank you note.
